The Lindsay Clancy Trial Mini Series: The Prosecution’s Argument

True Crime Conversations

In episode three of our mini-series tracking the trial of Lindsay Clancy, we unpack the prosecution's opening statements and core arguments. Through 14 days of testimony and over 70 witnesses, prosecutors detailed Lindsay’s digital footprint, hospital records, and phone notes expressing maternal burnout. We examine key testimony from her ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, who recently filed a wrongful death lawsuit against her medical providers, as the court analyses Apple Watch health data, step counts, and the precise timeline of the evening Cora, Dawson, and Callan were killed. Katherine Knight Killed Her Boyfriend. Then She Served Him For Dinner

True Crime Conversations

In October 2000, the small Hunter Valley town of Aberdeen, New South Wales, became the scene of one of the most horrific crimes in Australian history. John Price was brutally murdered in his home by his partner, Katherine Knight, an abattoir worker with a long, history of domestic violence against the men in her life but with no criminal record to show for this. What police discovered inside the house shocked even the most seasoned investigators: Knight had skinned, decapitated, and cooked parts of her partner, creating a horrific crime scene that remains etched in true crime history. Katherine Knight was the first, and to this day only, woman in Australian history to be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. In this episode of True Crime Conversations , Gemma Bath sits down with author Roje Augustine, who spent three years researching Knight's life to unpack her upbringing in Aberdeen, her fascination with the abattoir kill rooms, and the escalation of her violent relationships. TCC Exclusive: Inside A DV Police Operation

True Crime Conversations

In a True Crime Conversations first, Gemma Bath is embarking on an exclusive ride along with the New South Wales Police Force for Operation Amarok. A high-impact, statewide blitz cracking down on high-risk domestic violence offenders. Expecting tactical helmets, battering rams, and dramatic door-busts, the reality on the ground turned out to be far more nuanced. Shadowing plainclothes officers in beanies and jeans, Gemma witnessed four arrests across Sydney's Central Metro region, uncovering a complex web of family violence, repeat breaches of ADVOs, and systemic challenges that extend beyond intimate partner relationships. In this special bonus episode of True Crime Conversations , we go behind the scenes on the frontline of domestic violence policing. In Eight Minutes Of Footage Jessica Zrinski Doesn’t Get Out Of The Car Once

True Crime Conversations

At 8:49am on a Tuesday morning in November 2022, 30-year-old Jessica Zrinski was captured on CCTV in the passenger seat of a blue Holden Commodore pulling into a service station in Mount Victoria. Trailing from her passenger door was a massive tree branch, and driving the car was Paul Jones, a man she had met outside a Western Sydney pub just hours earlier. Those eight minutes and 40 seconds of footage would be the last time Jessica was ever seen alive. Soon after, Jones vanished off the grid for nearly three years, eventually located by police living in a camouflaged cave in dense bushland before being subpoenaed to give evidence at her coronial inquest. In this episode of True Crime Conversations, NewsCorp investigative journalist Ashlea Hansen joins Gemma Bath to unpack the bizarre timeline, the extensive searches through the Blue Mountains bushland, and what Jessica’s family hopes to finally learn as the inquest resumes. ‘Just A Witness.’ Inside A Sexual Assault Trial In Australia

True Crime Conversations

In October 2019, 23-year-old Sarah Rosenberg went on a date at Sydney’s noodle markets with a man she had recently met on a dating app. But when they returned to his place and Sarah explained that she was feeling unwell and didn’t want to be intimate, the night turned into a horrific nightmare. What followed was a grueling journey through a legal system that often felt like it was putting Sarah on trial rather than the man accused. From having her private medical and therapy records subpoenaed to enduring four and a half days of brutal cross-examination without her own lawyer, Sarah experienced firsthand how deeply the justice system can disempower survivors of sexual violence. In this episode of True Crime Conversations, Sarah Rosenberg joins Gemma Bath to share her story, expose the hidden realities of reporting sexual assault in Australia, and discuss how her experience led her to found With You We Can, a registered charity and legal education platform designed to support victims navigating the process. Together, they examine the urgent need for structural reform, the push for independent legal representation for victim-survivors, protecting confidential counselling records, and how to restore agency to those seeking justice. Daniel Mancuso's Father Killed His Mother. The Grief Feels Different This Year.

True Crime Conversations

It’s a cold July night in Melbourne in 2013 when an elderly neighbour hears terrifying screams coming from the home next door. When police arrive, they find 49-year-old Teresa Mancuso murdered in her parent's garage, the victim of a vicious act of family violence at the hands of her ex-husband. Though Teresa’s two sons, Daniel and Luke, knew immediately who was responsible, it would take two excruciating years of living in fear before their father was finally arrested and charged. Grieving and back in the house where their mother died, the brothers found unexpected hope through the fence. Their Greek neighbour, a loving grandmother, began passing home-cooked meals to the boys, adopting them as her own and ultimately inspiring a movement now known as Yiayia Next Door . The Woman Tasked With Fixing Australia's Most Controversial Police Force

True Crime Conversations

We don't often have politicians on True Crime Conversations. But when a domestic violence incident is reported to police every three minutes, the people making the laws and setting policy have a critical role to play. NSW Police and Counter-Terrorism Minister Yasmin Catley joins Gemma Bath for a rare conversation about the state's response to domestic and family violence. From the results of Operation Emme Rock, which saw almost 1,000 high-risk offenders arrested in just four days, to the introduction of coercive control laws, Catley explains what's being done to prevent violence and protect victim-survivors. The discussion also explores the warning signs that are too often missed, the challenges police face, and whether the justice system is doing enough to stop abuse before it escalates. Inside The Hidden Network Of Men Drugging And Raping Their Wives

True Crime Conversations

In 2024, the world learned the name Gisele Pelicot. Between 2011 and 2020, she was drugged and raped in her home in France by her husband, Dominique, and dozens of other men while she was unconscious. In a landmark trial, the then-72-year-old Gisele waived her right to anonymity as evidence revealed at least 200 rapes, many of them filmed. Dominique recruited men through a sex chat website, giving detailed instructions on how to abuse his wife. But this is not an isolated case. In 2026, CNN uncovered allegations of a global network of men in group chats sharing tips on drugging and raping their wives, alongside more than 20,000 “sleep content” videos. Investigative journalist Saskya Vandoorne joins us after infiltrating these groups and speaking to survivors. LINKS Learn more about CNN's investigation here .
